It takes a certain amount of intelligence and judgment to hire a comedian. I mean, anyone can write a check and sign some papers. But in order to choose the right comedian for the situation, you have to understand what type of comedy performance you need. You have to understand who the audience is and what type of comedy they will be receptive to. Then, you have to have a good understanding of the comedian’s act. You have to know whether the act is family friendly or more adult in nature. You should have an idea of the topics he will discuss and the general persona that he brings to his performances. Then you have to match up the comedian to the audience. This requires putting yourself in the shoes of an audience member. It doesn’t really matter what type of comedy you like personally. The thing that matters is finding a comedy act that the audience will thoroughly enjoy. Hiring the right comedian for an event requires a bit of thought and some good judgment.

I had such an epic fail today when I was at the computer store shopping for a new computer with my girlfriend. She did not want to go to the store but I insisted that it would be a very simple and easy process. I told her that I knew the exact computer that I wanted to buy and then I had called the store in the store was saving it on hold for me. I told my girlfriend that I just needed to run inside the store and pay for the computer and then I complete. The reason that this ended up being such a big failure was because I made all of that information up. I just really wanted to go get a computer and I knew I would have to lie in order to get my girlfriend to go with me. I felt a little bit that and I felt like I should not have lied but I could not help it and it is not my fault that she was not willing to go to the store with me if I did not lie.
Anyway, all of my lies were exposed very quickly because we went to the store and they did not have the computer on hold like I said it would be. Instead my girlfriend and I had to walk around store and look at all the computers. I really like researching computers and looking at them and playing around with them in the store but my girlfriend hates it. I told her that she was being silly but then she said if I tricked her into doing this than she was going to trick me into going shopping at a girl clothing store. Then I understood exactly how mean it was of me to trick my girlfriend. This was seriously an epic fail.
